PERFORMANCE OF SELECTED BACILLUS PROBIOTICS IN THE REARING OF THE JAPANESE FLOUNDER IN CHINA
Aquaculture is developing and intensifying in most regions of the world in response of the increasing demand for aquatic food products. In China, the production of marine fish has increased from 33,000 tonnes in 1990 to 732,000 tonnes in 2004. According to FAO (2006), flat fish such as the flounder, halibut and sole represented 41,000 tonnes in 2003 and 65,000 tonnes in 2004.
