Flor INDIGNE, the Chairman of the INVE Group, starts with a poultry integration (fattening + slaughterhouse) in Belgium which he develops into the biggest Belgian slaughterhouse for poultry with a very strong market position (MAISKI). Gradually he ventures into the nutritional business. His main interest is the development and production of specialty feeds such as starter feeds and premixes.

Flor Indigne sells the slaughterhouse and acquires 100% of the shares of SEGHERS PREMIX NV in Belgium and the shares of the Spanish company PREMIX IBERICA SA, two premix factories which had already been present in the respective markets since 1974.

Both individual companies become part of a group structure with a strong Scientific Department: the INVE Group is born.
Immediately afterwards the group is expanded with new premix factories and distribution companies via take-overs and own establishments, and is restructured :
PREMIX IBERICA SA, which produces and sells premixes, remains as it is
CALIDAD INVE GALICIA SA, a feedmill in Spain with three production units, is acquired for 100%
SEGHERS PREMIX NV in Belgium is split into three companies :
       - INVE NV : for the general policy, the general administration and the coordinating Scientific Department
      - PREMIX INVE BELGIE NV: for production and sales of premixes in Belgium.
      - PREMIX INVE EXPORT NV: for export sales of premixes all over the world - mainly to Asia

PREMIX INVE FRANCE Sud-Est sarl, a company in France, starts producing and selling premixes, especially for dairy cattle.
PREMIX INVE FRANCE Nord SA is founded from an existing company in France for production and sales of premixes and starter feeds.
In Portugal, INVE ADITIVOS ALIMENTARES SA starts its business: first only sales of premixes, but in 1992 a production unit is opened.

GUANDONG INVE FEED PREMIX Co., Ltd. is founded: a joint-venture in Southern China for the production and sales of premixes for the Chinese market.
Also INVE ITALIA srl is established in Italy. Initally the company only provides sales of premixes, but in 1996 a completely new production unit is constructed.

INVE sells its shares in GUANDONG INVE FEED PREMIX CO., Ltd. and establishes a new company PREMIX INVE NUTRITION SHENZHEN Ltd. (owning 100% of the shares) in the South of China.
The 60% ownership of PREMIX INVE FRANCE Sud-Est sarl is sold to its joint-venture partner. The same happens with INVE's shares (60%) in INVE ADITIVOS ALIMENTARES SA.
In that same year, INVE also sells the goodwill of CALIDAD INVE GALICIA SA as this activities are no longer considered as core business of the INVE Group.
