| An excellent Artemia completion diet for co-feeding & weaning of marine fish larvae |

| | Proton is a micro-particulated extruded diet, formulated with highly specific raw materials. Proton reduces significantly Artemia consumption without major adaptations to culture techniques while maintaining the quality of the produced fry. It has especially been designed for the very early completion of the Artemia feeding phase, resulting in similar growth performance and optimized production costs. Proton exhibits the following characteristics:
an excellent performance in co-feeding and weaning reduced Artemia requirements up to 50% of the daily consumption optimized functional nutrients, with high HUFA and vitamin content highly stable in water and automatic feeders free flowing and attractive narrow size distribution for homogeneous fish population and reduced cannibalism inclusion of Sanoguard® Aquastim F, a dietary health supplement for improved resistance to stress and disease
|
Population distribution and homogeneity at grading At the end of weaning, fish in our rearing experiments were subjected to a full grading (i.e. all fish - subjected to a 2.0 and 2.5 mm grade). Fish fed on Proton exhibit a much more uniform growth and a higher proportion of bigger fish compared to the INVE Control Diet fed fish.

Average wet weight and survival At start of post-weaning, average weights and survival were calculated following the gradings. Proton fed fish showed 20% higher wet weight and 38% higher survival as compared to the INVE Control Diet fed fish. | |
