Top-performance diet with high digestible/metabolizable energy for feeding marine fish

NRD is a top performance marine diet aiming at increasing harmonically the digestibility and the metabolizable energy contents, with a special attention to the nutritional need of larvae and post larvae of marine species. This is achieved through careful selection and special treatment of the highest quality raw materials, as well as state-of-the-art processing and production techniques to preserve the diet's nutritional integrity.
NRD has the following characteristics:

• high metabolizable energy content from protein sources
• fast growth, low FCR, high "big/small" fish ratio
• high protein content (59%), high HUFA and phospholipid content, optimum amino-acid balance with high DHA/EPA ratio
• very narrow size distribution
• inclusion of Sanoguard^® Aquastim F, a dietary health supplement for improved resistance to stress and disease in fish

The metabolizable energy content of NRD is much higher (82%) than the control diet (72%) although the 2 diets are iso-energetic (total energy).
Most of this metabolizable energy is coming from protein sources.

Fast growth

The results of the comparative weaning and post-weaning large scale field-trials, on one million Seabream larvae, are shown in the graph on the right. One group of larvae were fed a control diet and the other group the NRD diet. The use of NRD results in a more than double mean fish weight after 60 days of feeding (compared to the control diet).
