LIVE FEEDIdeally, aquaculture species should be fed their natural diet which consists of a wide range of live organisms. Practically, collection from the wild as well as controlled production of these feed organisms proved to be unrealistic. The live feed phase is a critical phase in aquaculture production and has handicapped aquaculturists time and again. Till today however, the superiority of live feed sources such as rotifers and Artemia has remained undisputable. The ease of obtaining nauplii from dry storable cysts has rendered Artemia into a classic among live feeds for young fish. INVE Aquaculture is the world leader in providing a wide selection of cysts from various sources. After harvesting and processing, all cysts are subjected to a fingerprinting to categorize all important characteristics such as hatching/enrichment kinetics, decapsulation, separation, contamination, fatty acid profile, biometrics ... Based on the results of this fingerprinting, INVE grades the cysts and selects these that are best suitable for fish hatcheries:
